Understanding Peptide Purity: What 99%+ Really Means

A deep look at HPLC testing standards and why purity thresholds matter in research contexts.

01The purity baseline

A stated purity value describes how much of the detected peptide material corresponds to the intended sequence under the stated analytical method. It is not a complete quality claim on its own. The chromatographic method, integration approach, sample preparation and identity confirmation all influence how that number should be interpreted. KAELON therefore presents purity alongside lot-specific documentation rather than treating a percentage as a standalone guarantee.

02HPLC and mass spectrometry

Reverse-phase high-performance liquid chromatography separates components according to their interaction with the column and solvent system. The resulting chromatogram shows the relative area of detected peaks. Mass spectrometry answers a different question by checking whether the principal material has the expected molecular mass. Read together, the methods provide complementary evidence: chromatographic purity and molecular identity.

03Reading a lot-matched report

A useful certificate should identify the tested batch, test date, analytical method and reported result. Researchers should match the lot on the vial to the lot on the report and review the full trace rather than relying only on a headline number. Every KAELON vial carries a batch-specific QR route to the public COA library so documentation can be checked before experimental planning.

04Research context

Analytical results describe the submitted sample at the point of testing. Storage, handling and reconstitution choices can affect material after release, so laboratories should follow their own validated procedures and record conditions consistently. KAELON compounds are supplied exclusively for in-vitro laboratory research and are not for human or veterinary use.
